Man arrested after investigation of attempted robbery of taxi driver

A man was arrested due to the attempted robbery of a private hire taxi driver in Fife. This incident was happened at arround 05:00 on Sunday.

This 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted robbery after the taxi driver was targeted in Lansbury Street, Kirkcaldy. The man is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court. Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident.

“This was a frightening experience for the taxi driver who was fortunately not injured” according to police.
